During the collaboration with the World Health Organization, I played a key role in developing a Digital Health Platform for the Namibia Ministry of Health and Social Services. This was a full-stack MVC web application, and my particular focus was on the backend. I got hands-on with designing and managing our PostgreSQL database, which was a real eye-opener – you quickly see how vital a solid, well-aligned database is for smooth system integration and overall functionality. I used ASP.NET Core to build out powerful backend services, focusing on optimizing data flow and boosting performance. Beyond the code, this project really showed me how effective data utilization in software can genuinely lead to better health outcomes.
